The Canadian Opera Company, or COC, is the largest opera company in Canada and is well known throughout the world for its legendary performances. The opera company offers a wide range of shows that range from La Boheme to The Nightingale. These are usually played at the main stage, which is called the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. The Four Seasons Centre is located at 145 Queen Street West, at the corner of Queen and University. These historic buildings contain the main ticket office, rehearsing space, workshops, and the Joey and Toby Tannenbaum Opera Centre. Built around 1887, this large building also houses the 450-seat Imperial Oil Opera Theatre. The 1882 Woollen Mill next door was designed by EJ Lennox, a famous architect who also designed Casa Loma and the Old City Hall. The renovated Mill holds the administrative offices, library, prop shop, and the main Canadian Opera box office.
