This European-styled hotel is only a block from some of the finest entertainment centres in Toronto, including the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and the CanStage Theatre. Situated on a quiet sidestreet that is lined with restaurants and cafes, its downtown location makes for easy walking distance to the theatres, the Hockey Hall of Fame, and the famous St Lawrence Market. The shops of Old Town Toronto, which date to as early as 1793 and feature some of the finest preserved Victorian architecture, are just a block north of the hotel. Historic Union Station lies two blocks west, and connects to the extensive subway system and to the huge underground shopping mall which runs for 27 kilometres under Torontos downtown streets. The 1800 foot CN Tower and the Rogers Skydome, home to the Blue Jays baseball team, is a short distance away. The Toronto Island ferry docks are about a 15 minute walk away. There you can cath a ferry to the parkland islands, which have an amusement area, beaches and a fishing pier. The hotel features a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, fitness centre, onsite restaurant, conference rooms, and indoor parking. It has 262 rooms, of which 221 are non-smoking. Pets are accepted, and up to 2 children can stay in the parents room for free.
