Situated in the Novotel Hotel, the extensive Cafe Nicole has become well known for its excellent dinners and its signature buffet breakfast. Decorated in a European style, the rooms exude a warm ambience due in part to the wood panelled walls, and there are many window seats. There is a private room available for special functions. The kitchen is reported to have the best breads in the city, with over a dozen different types available. Their famous breakfast buffet has a wide variety to choose from, including hot and cold meats. Only a block from the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, the restaurant also features a theatre menu and daily specials. A large selection of wines is available by the glass, bottle, or half litre. The main menu has eight different salads, and sandwiches range from a hamburger to striploin steak on a baguette. Main courses include fish, lamb, steak, chicken, pork, and vegetarian dishes. Complete your meal with a French dessert such as creme brulee. The restaurant includes a piano lounge with barstool seating and four beers on tap.
