The Our Town Toronto Neighbourhood Alliance website is operated by its technology partner A2N Technologies Inc, who will be referred to as "A2N" throughout this document. This "Privacy Policy " will be referred to as "PPS" throughout this document, and is Copyright © 2017 A2N Technologies Inc. All rights reserved. Any reproduction in whole or in part is strictly forbidden. The Our Town Toronto Neighbourhood Alliance website is a local chapter of the Network Neighbours® alliance network, and therefore "NetworkNeighbours.Net", "NetworkNeighbours.Ca" and "NetworkNeighbours.Com" will be referred to as "A2N" throughout this document. A "Business" is defined as any entity that purchases services from A2N for a fee, including advertising services, and includes the Our Town Toronto Neighbourhood Alliance. An "A2N Staff Member" is defined as any other entity that has been retained by A2N to perform services on its behalf. A "Customer" is defined as anyone who is not a Business or an A2N Staff Member. A2N provides its service to you, subject to the following PPS, which may be updated from time to time by A2N without notice. When utilizing services owned and/or operated by A2N, you are subject to any and all posted guidelines and rules applicable to such services which may be posted by A2N from time to time. All such guidelines and rules are hereby incorporated by reference into this PPS. A2N reserves the right to offer other services that may be governed by a different Privacy Policy.

You may browse any A2N website without submitting any personal information. Some of our key features, products and services require the entry of some personal information in order for them to function properly. For example, if you request that information be e-mailed to you, or wish to e-mail or fax a Business through our services, then A2N requires your e-mail address along with your first and last name. If you wish for a Business to contact you by phone then A2N requires a phone number from you. If you wish to request an appointment, request a reservation, hail a cab, reserve tickets or purchase products through this website then A2N will also require certain information from you such as your address and other details. We keep all of your personally identifiable information in both online and offline facilities. Once you utilize any service that requests personal information, then your use of any A2N website will no longer be anonymous and you will be able to take full advantage of the many specialized offerings on our websites.

Please note that any information you enter may be used by the A2N system to automatically create an online account that can be used by you to access any A2N website as a "registered user". You will be notified either onscreen or by e-mail if such an account is automatically created. There are several advantages to being a "registered user". For example, you will no longer have to enter your name or other identitiy information on any screen, as the system will fill in the fields for you. If your communication is disrupted and you need to return to our website, the system remembers where you were at the time your service was disrupted. If you have entered search parameters, then the system will remember these parameters and use them as a default upon your return. This saves you a lot of time and effort if your search selection is complex.

In addition to registration, we may ask you for personal information at other times, such as when you order a publication or enter a contest or promotion sponsored by A2N or one of our Business partners. You may provide us with personal information when you send us an e-mail message, such as if you report a problem with one of our websites or our services. Whenever you contact us, we will keep a record of that correspondence. We may also ask users to complete surveys that we then use for research purposes. In addition, A2N may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Wherever we collect personal information, the information you provide will be subject to the terms of this PPS. We do not offer personal information for resale or rent to third parties. All information is utilized only by A2N or by the Our Town Toronto Neighbourhood Alliance.

A2N websites contain links and advertisements to other websites that are operated by other companies or persons that are beyond the control of A2N. We do not influence or control the privacy policies of those sites. We do not make any representations concerning the privacy practices or terms of use of such sites, nor do we control or guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of the information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, digital media or other messages or materials available on such sites. We encourage you to view the privacy policy and terms of use of any sites that you may visit. Additionally, the inclusion or exclusion of links or advertisements on our sites does not imply any endorsement by us of the sites, the site's provider, or the information on the sites. This Policy statement only applies to information collected and maintained by A2N or by the Our Town Toronto Neighbourhood Alliance.

As a general rule, A2N and the Our Town Toronto Neighbourhood Alliance will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information. However, A2N may access, preserve, and disclose your account information if required to do so by law or to: (i) comply with any recognized legal process; (ii) enforce either our Privacy Policy or our Terms and Conditions of Service; (iii) respond to claims that any such information violates the rights of third-parties; (iv) process customer service and other information requests on your behalf; (v) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of A2N, its users and the public; (vi) respond to criminal and civil subpoenas and court orders that reasonably appear to be valid; (vii) comply with requirements in connection with the sale of all or certain of our assets; and (viii) allow for inspections by law enforcement officials. A2N will take reasonable precautions to protect the information it obtains from you from our loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure or use, or alteration or destruction, of that information, but A2N will have no liability to you or to any third party regarding disclosure of such information. Furthermore, it is not possible for data transmissions over the internet or wireless networks to be guaranteed as "secure". As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk.

This document contains information regarding our Privacy Policy only. It is not our Terms and Conditions of Service ("TCS"). All users of our websites and services are subject to the conditions outlined in our TCS.
