The Rainbow has six theatres playing first run movies in one convenient location. Prices are about half of what you pay at most other theatres, yet the refurbished theatres are modern and comfortable and contain state of the art sound systems. All theatres are wheelchair accessible and have listening devices. The complex has a grand entrance lobby with a piano, and original artworks line the walls. The six theatres are located beneath the Market Square building beside the north St Lawrence Market, and there is plenty of underground parking. The lower level has a large refreshment centre that serves the best popcorn in Old Town. The main entrance of the cinema is from the pedestrian park that runs from Front to King, which in Victorian times was a cobblestone road for horse and carriage.
